Of the various services provided by us, real estate related activities have always been at the forefront at Asta. As with our M&A activity, we are interested in forming and developing long-term partnerships with our clients.

By providing our own and our partners´ equity to a certain degree, our vested interest in the project ensures that we will always take the extra step required, which more often than not means the difference between completing a transaction successfully or not.

Our real estate services and activities include but are not limited to transaction structuring, land and asset acquisitions and dispositions, residential and commercial land development, arranging for financing as well as project, construction and property management.

Asta´s most recent real estate project involvement includes the following opportunities and transactions:

Development opportunity of 300 - 500 housing units on three lots of land in the Laurentians (Quebec) totaling 1,500 acres; advised the owner of development potential, valuation and project financing
Acquisition of a bank portfolio consisting of close to 90 commercial and mixed commercial/residential properties located in East and Southern Germany with a rentable space of approx. 660,000 sf (61,000 sq meters) and a market value of well over €46 million
Advising a major Toronto developer in the acquisition of an approx. 950 acre master planned community surrounding a successful 18-hole golf course to be built in three phases consisting of an estimated 890 lots, located just outside the city limits of Charlotte, North Carolina
Disposition of a Class B office building with over 100,000 sf of leasable space located in the North Yonge Corridor, Toronto, which sold for a total consideration of $15 million
Sale of retail power centre in Atlanta, Georgia with approx. 190,000 sf leasable space on a 16-acre site for $33 million
